Philharmonic Violinist Selected for Honors Performance
Ellie Lutterman, a long-time member of Lakeshore Youth Orchestras, has been selected as one of the 700 most talented student performers from around the world to perform violin in the 2019 High School Honors Symphony Orchestra, part of the Honors Performance Series at Carnegie Hall.
Participation in one of the five Honors Ensembles is limited to the highest-rated high school performers from across the world... over 18,000 nominations were processed this year. Acceptance to the elite group is a direct result of the talent, dedication, and achievements demonstrated in her application and audition recording. Ellie will join performers from the United States, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam, Canada, Australia, Bermuda, China, Hong Kong, Mexico, Poland, Qatar, and South Korea this February for a special performance at the world-famous Carnegie Hall, a venue that marks the pinnacle of musical achievement.
"The true beauty of music is that it connects people. It carries a message, and we, the musicians, are the messengers."
